The machine at work
What does dry hire mean?
You hire the machine without an operator. We deliver the 1.2 tonne Kubota excavator and the attachments you need, run you through safe operation, and collect it at the end of the hire period.
Will it fit through a standard gate?
Usually yes. The retractable tracks narrow the machine to roughly a metre, so it fits through most standard side gates and pathways. That is exactly why it suits established backyards a bobcat cannot reach.
What jobs is it suited to?
Trenching for services and drainage, post holes for fences, decks and pergolas, levelling and turf prep, shifting soil, sand, gravel and mulch, and general site clean-ups.
Do I need a licence or ticket?
No licence is required for use on private property, but you need to be over 18, physically capable and willing to follow the safe operating instructions we go through at handover.
